How do I fix my lawn mower?

I just bought a brand new lawn mower from home depot. I have only used it once. I tried to start it for the second time last week. It will start, however quickly dies after about 5-10 seconds.I did notice if I push the primer in every other second that it would run but I can't cut my grass like that. Please help me!!! The grass is knee high and my homeowners association started sending my letters about it. I just don't understand it because the lawn mower is brand new.

return it to Home Depot and get another one

My Lawn Boy mower barely fills the bag before I need to stop and empty, any suggestions?

I bought a Lawn Boy 20" push mower from Home Depot last year to replace my old one finally died. This mower is terrible. My main problem is that, unless the grass barely needs to be cut, the clipping exhaust port clogs up and the thing starts dropping most all clippings with an almost empty bag. The bag has never made it more than about half full. Is there anything I can do to improve this (new blade?) or is it just a crappy mower?

Make sure the blade was installed right side up for one if the mower is new. I would bet that this is the problem.
