J.J.
Hello, please listen to me, as I am very sick. So please listen :)
I need help with Christmas gifts. My Mom-- well I wanted to "import" from the next state over or so and buy her a gift basket. I was originally thinking Bath and Body Works but my mom does not like all "that scented stuff". So I was thinking this:
http://www.origins.com/product/7790/19783/Great-Gifts/Category/Shop-All-Holiday/From-Morning-to-Night-10100-Value/index.tmpl?cm_mmc=Email-_-11-14-2011-_-morning_to_midnight_online_resend-_-shopnow - Though I would like to keep it under 50 dollars like 20 or so. Any food baskets or anything?
My Dad: Okay :D Truth is I live with my Grandparents-- I'm adopted-- so I was wondering I wanted to get him a RIDING LAWNMOWER :DDDD HEHEHEHEH. But they're like 1000, I found some for 400 but is it possible if it rings under 200?? :D My mom can probably help me
My boyfriend: Oh goodness gracious. He's sixteen and he just got okay "Skyrim" and apparently he wants absolutely NOTHING else. He kinda lives a whiles away from our house and we don't go to the same school, I would probably ask his parents but um.... Hehe :)
His Dog: Okay, what should I get his dog?
My Dog: :) Ooooh I know!
So My Dog a Shih Tzu Brooke who doesn't play with toys, My Mom, My Dad, Kyle (boyfriend) and his Dog Scout :)))
Answer

Which tractor/lawnmower is better: Craftsman YT4500 (26HP, 54 inch) or John Deere D140 (22HP, 48 inch)?
Dr_BENTINI
Both tractors are sold for the same price. Craftsman has a Briggs & Stratton engine, and John Deere uses its own John Deere engine in its models. I have 1.75 acres of land.
Answer
I would trust the Deere more than the Craftsman. The last Craftsman tractor I purchased was about 9 years ago, however I was very disappointed in the quality and sturdiness.
Get yourself a 22" non-propelled mower with large rear wheels and a good motor (under $200) and push mow it for awhile. Listen to books on tape while you're doing it and it will take you about 5 hrs a week and be great exercise. I did that for 2 years on my 1.8 acre lot and loved it. Otherwise get a zero-turn for around $3k or wait a year and pay somebody to to it until the Z-turns drop to around $2k. They use about half the gas for the same work, run faster, and usually are more durable for mowing if that's all you're doing. I loved mine until I traded it to a local landscaper for 3 year contract on free mowing ( I traded it in because I wasn't getting any exercise and it was taking up almost an entire bay in my garage).
