i have 3.1 acres to cut and i was wondering how long it would take with a ztr 50 inch deck?

its pretty much all flat with very few trees. how long should it aprox. take to mow 3.1 acres with this. also i wanted to see how much faster i would be able to get it done with a 54 or a 60 inch deck...just want to see if its worth a few thousand dollars more for the bigger decks.

How fast does the lawn mower go? Assuming minimum 3 mph...they probably go faster:

a 60" deck (5 feet!) wide needs to travel about 270,000 feet. Divide that by 3 mph and I get about 18 hours.......so I hope the mower goes a lot faster than that!

The smaller deck would be 20 hours. So I'd be hard pressed to go with only a 6" wider deck. ....that's the 54"

The 50 inch deck is about 23 hours. Lots of variable, how many turns, overlap, etc.

which is better a toro z5030 or poulan pro 925zx?

Im looking for a zero turn mower to cut a little over an acre of land with many trees. i cant find any reviews on a poulan pro zero turn.

Personally, I would go with the Toro. Toro is a decent mower with good service and warranties. A little more money but definitely worth it. The Toro you listed has a bigger deck, and more horsepower. The Toro also has a Kohler engine which is better than the Briggs and Stratton the Poulan has. Here are a few links I found. Good Luck!
