What is an estimate on how much gas it would take to mow 2 acre lawn ?

I have a average weed eater pushing lawn mower and someone want's me to mow their 2 acres of land.
I have read around and it was said most push lawn mowers hold about a gallon or so.
I was wondering about how many times " roughly " would you expect to fill up while mowing the lawn?

2 acres with a push lawn mower? I cut that much lawn with a riding tractor and dont like to do it...most push lawn mowers dont hold a gallon of gas...maybe 1/4 gallon tops...so maybe 2-3 fill ups would do it...

Brilliant beautiful gardeners, owners would be cool, riding lawn tractors other than JD for maint of 3 acres?

SC, 8 acres total, 3 mowed weekly. Best advice on model that can handle weekly mowing of 3+ acres, flat, sandy. Present Deere can't take the strain, poor dear.

Forget about buying a lawn tractor. Buy yourself a small diesel powered tractor with a belly mower (Kabota 2300, 7800) would be good sizes. You will pay more to start, but it will last considerably longer. You can also buy implements like tillers, blades, backhoe, etc for the tractor.
