I have a lawn mower Honda and it wont start i have tried everything, Every time i put carburetor cleaner on the carburetor it starts for 5 seconds then it shuts off. Please respond thanks.

it's starving for fuel.The carb will have to be taken apart and cleaned and possibly new gaskets.If they are hard and brittle you will have to purchase new rebuild kit..First of all make sure your air cleaner and fuel filter are unclogged,clean and your fuel is not old. Fuels with Ethanol are not recommended for mowers.Use fuels without Ethanol or a fuel stabilizer additive.Just remember it can only be one of three things.that your motor needs to run fuel,compression and spark.Also if all else fails make sure the flywheel key has not been sheared.If the blade hits something hard enough since its made of aluminum that can happen.

My father had 2 lawn mowers stolen( honda commercial) worth 1000 each retail. He did not report it and has no serial number of the 2 lawn mowers.

How far could someone take the lawn mowers? I'd look in the neighborhood for them. Police is definitely a good way to go. Even if they don't find anything, at least you're covering all bases and, who knows, they may find it or help your dad look for it.
