Answer
Well, you should post the model number of the mower and perhaps someone can find the manual.

How do I find the model number off my craftsman riding lawn mower?
Fred Head
It's a 20 hp with a Kohler Magnum engine.
Also is there a serial number on the lawn mower? I am trying to find a solenoid for it.
Answer
If you have the owners manual for it, the model # should be mentioned there. Otherwise you will have to go over the mower with a fine tooth comb for data plate. Look in obscure places like inside any cowling, under the seat etc.
You might call Sears and ask someone in the garden department if they have any idea where the data plate might be.
You might take a photo to Sears parts department and ask if they recognize it.
If the solenoid is part of the engine you may find a data plate on the engine itself.
You might Google Kohler Magnum engines.
Or you can go to this site: http://www.kohlerengines.com/onlinecatalog/serieslanding.htm?series=Magnum
They show two engines, one vertical and one horizontal shaft. The right column has a link to service.
Good luck
