girl

me and my friend want money! =) but we dont know how to get it?

Answer
Hi girl, well i got some ideas for you to earn money and if your not old e
nough to get a job thats ok as these ideas can be done by most kids.I will put them down below after these few ideas first

You can try dog walking/dog washing/caring for cats/kittens and maybe you can even learn to sew and make the cute clothes for them.Get tuition from parents/grandparents/sewing teacher/or any neighbours who can teach you.Another idea apart from all that are listed below is you can HOUSE SIT, for friend/neighbours if they are going on holiday or away for awhile, you can look after there house or flat while they are away and get some money for it, i use to do this and got good money.

1 Baking food and selling it to friends or neighbours,or the elderly people and you can get tution at community centres,or from parents,or a quick course at college.Make pom poms and learn to sew clothes you can make money buy selling them, get tuition from people who know like grandparents, home economics teacher, etc.
2. Lawnmowing. You can ask the neighbours or anyone in town if they would like you to mow there lawn.If they got a lawnmower you can do it.You can get money and ok job.
3 Gardening( just basic stuff like pulling up weeds and plant seeds, etc its very easy when shown how to do.You can do this for the elderly people they would appreciate it/ but try to find the elderly or older people who are not mobile/have trouble doing this work and then they can give you a paid job.
4 Honey collecting.Ask neighbours or people in the town if they keep bees and collect honey. If you have NO Fears of bees stinging you, you can collect honey from peoples bee farms. You can request the head gear and gloves so you will be ok if careful. But if scared please dont attempt this.
5.Aluminium can collecting, If you collect lots of aluminium cans and crush them and fill them in sacks you can take them to a recycling depot and get money for them, i used to do this a long time ago.If you dont have a recycling depot in your town try to ask for the nearest town that has one,Look then up online. if none then you might have to travel to get to nearest city with parents or if your old enough then you can make your own way to nearest depot.
6. Online games.Give your opinion about playing games online.IGo to google and then find a free to enter website that lets you download games and then you play them, give your opinion of them and get paid.
7.House/Flat cleaning, just very basic cleaning for neighbours , mopping dusting, vacuuming etc, if you think this is too hard work or dont like it etc there are other options.
8.Coach cleaning. Cleaning seats and interior of coaches /buses if you know the local bus/coach depot ask them if they can give you a little paid work to clean them.
9. Online surveys, Some companys pay some money to fill out surveys online. It could be just for anything like giving them your opinions on foods, make up, or any other survey. Its easy to do.PLEASE ONLY CHOOSE FREE TO ENTER SURVEYS AS OTHERS COULD BE SCAMS , JUST TO BE SAFE GO FOR FREE TO ENTER ONLY.
10. Collecting antiques. Ask your parents or neighbours or anyone if they have very old antiques, or old statues, old paintings or anything else they dont want, and once you got some you can take them to the antique shop and sell them.
11.Sell your things to the Second hand stores. If you have anything good you collect and that you can let go of and wish to sell like records, cds, tapes, or anything of value you can get money for them.
12 Garage sale. Similar to number 11, sell your stuff on a table outside your home and get some money. But only the stuff your willing to let go of, must be good quality though and nothing broken etc.
13.Rare Butterfly Collecting . This is an odd job and can be hard to get money with, but you can. all you need to do is buy a net with a long handle attached to it. And go outside and catch butterflys in the net, then put them in a jar with holes in the lid so they can breathe. BUT TO GET MONEY FOR THIS YOU MUST FIND THE RARE TYPES OF BUTTERFLYS AND IF YOU DO CATCH THEM YOU CAN GET VERY BIG MONEY. IF YOU DONT KNOW WHICH BUTTERFLIES ARE THE RARE ONES, GO TO THE LOCAL LIBRARY AND GET A BOOK ON RARE BUTTERFLIES. OR LOOK THEM UP ONLINE.ONCE YOU FIND A RARE BUTTERFLY LOOK UP ONLINE FOR BUYERS OF RARE BUTTERFLIES.
14. Window cleaning. You can clean windows for the old people in your area or the neighbours etc.and make some money.
15. Online Competitions or Online Games . There are many online just type paid competition.
take very good care .Bye from Darren

how much money does a lawnmower company makes in a month?

Luis

Answer
That would depend what you mean by "lawnmower company". Do they sell lawnmowers, or do they actually mow lawns? And also, how big are we talking about?

What's with all these vague questions?

i have have to mow the lawn because my mom has a bad back. i hate doing it because our mower is really really hard to start. my mom says its because i weigh only 86 pounds. she says to choke it and pull the string as hard as i can. i do but it always takes like 25 tries just to start it once! she says we dont have money to get another mower. what can i do to start it easier?

General rule is to get a nice guy boyfriend. LOL. No actually when starting a lawnmower that is cold and stubborn you fully close the choke push the primer 1 to 3 times. (usually red) give it a pull or two till you hear the first sputters, then close it halfway and pull again it should start and then open it all the way (off) and mow away..

How can I convince my mom to get a new lawnmower?

best lawnmower for money image

Philly Pha

Our current lawnmower is over 10 years old, you have to pull it AT LEAST 15 times before it starts, when it starts, it smells terrible, is real loud, and shakes a lot. When cutting grass, it fills up after walking 20 feet. It sucks in general, both my dad and I hate it, but my mom won't let us get a new one. How can I convince her that our current one needs to be replaced?

Answer
A good lawnmower requires a tune up, just like a car. Bring it to your local small engine repair shop for service.
If the blade is shot, replace or sharpen.
Consult your manual or set the height for a shorter cut. But not too short. The longer the blade, the longer the root.
Have someone local cut your lawn professionally, invest the money. Mom will see the results and get on board.

What you think me saving up money to set up my business?

What you think me saving up money to set up my business? I am 16 and think it will help. I know want to do somthing in busienss in the future.

Answer
No. Do not save for a business. Start one now; it will teach you things they donât teach in school. Get a tax number now.

Examples:

Get a lawnmower; cut grass; deduct lawnmower from income etc.

Example:

THE AMERICAN DREAM.....
An unemployed man is desperate to support his family of a wife and three kids. He applies for a janitor's job at a large firm and easily passes an aptitude test.

The human resources manager tells him, "You will be hired at minimum wage of $5.35 an hour. Let me have your e-mail address so that we can get you in the loop. Our system will automatically e-mail you all the forms and advise you when to start and where report on your first day"

Taken aback, the man protests that he is poor and has neither a computer nor an e-mail address.

To this the manager replies, "You must understand that to a company like ours that means that you virtually do not exist. Without an e-mail address you can hardly expect to be employed by a
High-tech firm. Good day."

Stunned, the man leaves. Not knowing where to turn and having $10 in his wallet, he walks past a farmers' market and sees a stand selling 25lb. Crates of beautiful red tomatoes. He buys a crate, carries it to a busy corner and displays the tomatoes. In less than 2 hours he sells all the tomatoes and makes 100% profit. Repeating the process several times more that day, he ends up with almost $100 and arrives home that night with several bags of groceries for his family.

During the night he decides to repeat the tomato business the next day.

By the end of the week he is getting up early every day and working into the night. He multiplies his profits quickly.

Early in the second week he acquires a cart to transport several boxes of tomatoes at a time, but before a month is up he sells the cart to buy a broken-down pickup truck.

At the end of a year he owns three old trucks. His two sons have left their neighborhood gangs to help him with the tomato business, his wife is buying the tomatoes, and his daughter is taking night courses at the community college so she can keep books for him.

By the end of the second year he has a dozen very nice used trucks and employs fifteen previously unemployed people, all selling tomatoes.

He continues to work hard.

Time passes and at the end of the fifth year he owns a fleet of nice trucks and a warehouse that his wife supervises, plus two tomato farms that the boys manage. The tomato company's payroll has put hundreds of homeless and jobless people to work. His daughter reports that the business Grossed over one million dollars.

Planning for the future, he decides to buy some life insurance. Consulting with an insurance adviser, he picks an insurance plan to fit his new circumstances. Then the adviser asks him for his e-mail address in order to send the final documents electronically.

When the man replies that he doesn't have time to mess with a computer and has no e-mail address, the insurance man is stunned, "What, you don't have e-mail? No computer? No Internet? Just think where you would be today if you'd had all of that five years ago!"

"Ha!" snorts the man. "If I'd had e-mail five years ago I would be sweeping floors at Microsoft and making $5.35 an hour"

How can the Federal Reserve lend money at interest if they're the source lender?

kkmm333

Wont the money supply eventually dry up this way?
But don't banks borrow their money from the Federal Reserve?

Answer
This is actually a common misunderstanding on loans and interest. But, in reality, money can create several times it's value in economic activity.

Let's illustrated with an example...

You have a one dollar bill.

You have two friends without money.

And in this little friendship economy, you all have certain skills of value.

You provides hair cuts and pedicures for just $1 each

Friend A does pedicures and manicures for just $1 each

Friend B does manicures and haircuts for just $1 each
.

And you are all planning to go to a party but are looking pretty shabby.

So Friend A says: "Could I borrow a dollar? I want to buy a manicure from Friend B". You say "Sure, at 100% interest. That is, I want $2 in return." Friend A: 'OK"

Then Friend B says to Friend A: "Could I borrow a dollar? I want to buy a haircut". Friend B says "Sure, but I have to charge 100% interest. That is, I want $2 in return." Friend B: 'OK"

Then you decide you want a pedicure but have no money. So you say to Friend B: "Could I borrow a dollar?". Friend B says "Sure, but I have to charge 100% interest. That is, I want $2 in return." You say "OK"

So let's stop here a second and look at this. In our litte friendship economy, we have a total of $3 in loans and $3 in interest to be paid back. How can we possible pay this all back with a single dollar???

Easy, with economic activity.

- You buy a pedicure from Friend B and hands over $1.
- Friend B buys a manicure from Friend A and hands over $1.
- Friend A buys a haircut from you and hands over $1.

-- then the process repeats until you are all looking pretty spiffy with your manicure, pedicure, and haircut.

But there is still the question of the loans and interest,

- So you take your $1 to friend B and say "Here is half the money I owe you"
- Friend B takes the $1 to Friend A and says "Here is half the money I owe you"
- Friend A takes the $1 to you and says "Here is half the money I owe you"

Then

- you take your $1 to friend B and say "Here is the other half the money I owe you"
- Friend B takes the $1 to Friend A and says "Here is the other half the money I owe you"
- Friend A takes the $1 to you and says "Here is the other half the money I owe you"

So at the end of our example:

- You and your friends got $9 worth of personal grooming
- You and your friends each received and paid $3 in loans and $3 in interest

All with a single dollar!

Another example:

- I have $100 cash and a $100 lawn mower. You have nothing.
- I loan you $100 cash at 10% interest.
- You buy my loan mower for $100.cash
- I hire you to mow my lawn for $10 a week.
- You pay me back $110 at $10 a week.

After 11 weeks:
- You have a $100 lawnmower (after starting with nothing)
- You have paid off $100 in loans and $10 in interest
- I've received 11 weeks of lawnmowing service
- I end up with my $100 cash

So the key point to the answer to your question is:
- A single dollar can create many times it's face value in transactions
- A single dollar could theoretically pay off the entire national debt with enough transactions over time. (OK so it would take a $1 at transaction a second for over 300,000 years to do it but you get the idea)

Hope that helps

Answer
Ha ha ha!

Are you kidding me? Owning real estate with friends?

True story here. This is what my father taught me...

My dad was a member of a "hunting camp". You know, he and his friends owned a small cabin in the wilderness. It was a disaster...

1) It was hard to get the other members to pitch-in and help with minor maintenance on the cabin before the hunting season. My dad would drive the 100 miles to the camp, and do most of the work himself. He'd have to take a chainsaw, lawnmower, tools, etc, and do most of the work himself. The others only wanted to USE the place and no do any of the upkeep.

2) One of his hunting buddies (members) was renting the cabin out to fishermen in the summers. This guy was getting $200 in cash from his fishing buddies, but not sharing that money (income) with the other members of the camp. The result? Higher than usual electric bills in the summer (the fishmern insisted on plugging in electric heaters when the temps dropped at night, so that ran-up the electric bills...the hunters always used a wood stove for the main heat source during the fall and winter hunting seasons).

3) With the fishrmen story above, not only did they lazily use the electric heaters, but they also left the place a mess. There were dishes left in the sink to sit for 2 months, which grew mold on them...some were actually stained black and had to be thrown-out. Cooking and eating utensils were left in the same way, and got rusty from neglect.

4) There were 3 different property tax bills that needed paid at different times throughout the year. Good luck getting everyone to pay their share on time.

So...this is what you are going to look forward to...

"Hey James...we're planning on going over to the summer house to spend the weekend to do some minor upkeep. Can you make it?" "Nah...sorry man. I have other things I gotta do this weekend. Wish I could, but I just can't this time. Maybe next time."

"Hey James. The property taxes are due at the end of the month. Do you think you can write me a check for your share this week?" "Oh, I wish I could, but I just had to pay for some major car repairs. I am a little short of cash right now. Can you spot me until next month? Huh?"

"Hey James. I went to go use the summer home that we own, and there were some other people staying there already. I mean, I got there pretty late, at like 1 AM and I was surprised to see the lights on...and when I went inside, there were a buch of teenagers sleeping in sleeping bags and on the couch and stuff. One of them had a baseball bat and was going to use it on me...he thought I was there to rob them...then I explained...I own this place! He was kindas suprised to see me. And of course, I was sure as heck surprised to see him too! He said he was a friend of yours. So, what's the deal with that?" "Oh yeah. I meant to tell you that. Um...that's my cousin's friends. They needed a place to stay for the weekend, so I said it would be ok to go ahead and stay there at the summer place. I didn't know anyone else would be going there."

"Hey James. I just got the electric bill from last month. It's 3 times what it normally is for the month. I think it's because those teens you let use the place for that weekend used some electric space heaters to keep the place warm. And, they also left a mess when they left. What gives?" "Ah...what do you want me to do about that man?"

jfs1988

store not online.

I need a used gas power lawnmower. Money is tight for new one and repairing my old would cost more.

usually what would be the average price for a used lawnmower?

Answer
Don't most people use their lawnmowers until they don't work? As you have seen, repairing an old lawn mower costs more than it's worth, and someone who does repairs to sell used lawnmowers would have a hard time recouping their investment in parts and time.

Try looking at small hardware stores, etc. There was a mom and pop hardware/plumbing shop where I used to live (not in SB) that had used everything, the old dude would fix everything, it seemed more of a hobby, but they retired. Maybe Goodwill or other similar store?

Sears is having a lawnmower sale this weekend.

Good luck!

They are going to have swallow Health Care by Reconciliation as a thing done well before November.
So what can they do? Willl they riot, burning their trailer homes and overturning tractor lawnmowers?
Can I make money selling pitchforks and torches or will they just grumble about November gloom and doom?
