the rope broke.how do i tighten the slack on the starter spring so the rope snaps back after pulling?
Answer
That involves taking the recoil cover off the mower and having first, a new piece of pull rope, and a very very strong set of hands....
You have to literally rewind the spring just like winding a big ol' watch spring while holding it down to keep it from jumping out & smacking you in the face,.....
Then taking out the broken knot and end of old rope (while still holding the spring), threading the new rope with the pre-tied end on your left, and then through the pull hole, then letting the spring go very very very slowly....
If you don't know how to do it, let someone show you.... if it jumps out, you may not EVER get it all back in...

Used Mixed Gasoline( Gas & Oil) on Lawn Mower...what do I do?
TXDiggity
Okay, I accidently poured the mixed gasoline and oil combo (used for weed eaters) into the lawn mowers gasoline tank. The lawn mower already had half a tank of good gasoline. The mower ran fine but did not know I did this unti lafter the fact later in the day. What should I do?? Please help. If I have to drain the gas...how should this be done. Thanks.
Answer
Each lawnmower has an instruction book which should cover the subject of emptying a gas tank. You could use a siphon hose to extract the contents of a tank into a clean pail. Then start the mower and burn off any fuel still in the system. Now refill your mower with clean fuel. The fuel which you drained can be mixed with oil . You will have enough to feed your weed whacker for a while.
