The grass I have on my lawn now is sharp, coarse, and pricky and it makes it uncomfortable to walk on.
I read that Kentucky Blue Grass is one of the softest, but FL is too hot to grow it.
What would be the softest grass I can plant that will also grow in FL's sandy infertile soil?

You want a grass called Empire Zoyzia. Easy to maintain, you can cut it with a regular mower, and is affordable. I have it in my child's butterfly garden and we love it! We live in the Palm Beach Fl. Area.

Probably depends on what you want and how much lawn you mow. I got a 155C with hydrostatic drive and 48" deck. It's wonderful. Works great. I have 2 acres. For a small lawn, it might be too big but it turns sharp and backs up and I love it.
I got it last fall on a sale and then talked them into $100 less than that. Hee Hee.
