best lawn mower with bagger image

I have a 2005 Craftsman Lt1000 riding lawn mower with 19 Hp Kohler Courage dual cam eng, 42" cut, auto trans, grass saver tires. I cant find this model for sale on like. model number is 917. 275180. its in good cond and would like to know about what its worth?

does the grass left behind from the mower kills the grass underneath it?

you know when like your bag is full and the grass starts leaving a little trail behind the wheels, does that grass kill the grass underneath it or no?
i don't think it does but my mom thinks it does and i just want to explain to her that it doesnt or otherwise the riding lawn mowers would bag there grass...
am i right or wrong on this?

the lumps on the grass shade it, and if the grass under the lump can't get sunlight, it dies.... if you're leaving lumps, you need to cut more often so the grass isn't so high when you DO cut it... or you're cutting when it's wet with dew or rain and it's clumping up due to the wetness.... either way, you need to rake that stuff up or get a bagger.... lots of riding mowers DO bag the grass....
and uh, MOM's are always RIGHT...... *smile*........
