We are looking at purchasing a used lawn tractor and can't find its previous retail value. Is it a good tractor? Any other comments about it?

How much would a 1953 montgomery lawn tractor be worth?

I have an antique 1953 lawn tractor and was wondering how much it would be worth in good condition. Here is an image of the tractor.

I can't find the value online, and was hoping maybe someone out there would have an idea.

that looks like a simplicity - I'm not sure about Montgomery - do you mean that you got it at Montgomery and Wards when they were still in business?

in the picture does it not say simplicity on the black stripe - my enlarger doesn't go very big, sorry

looking at the picture it is in fair shape - good is the next step above fair (your paint is scratched up pretty good and the grill is boofed, and the deck it a bit rumpled, and the license plate is funny to look at)

not knowing the horse power, tranny type, or how many hours are on the motor, or the motor type here is a loose value $+/- 200 = $1000.00 (that's a thousand dollars plus or minus 200 dollars depending upon location)
