Lawn mower wheel height adjuster slips?

Tom

The height adjuster on one wheel of my mower keeps slipping out of its indentation. Any ideas on how to stop it?

Answer
Actually you don't even have to take the wheel off. Just turn the height adjuster so its down, under the mower deck and bend it in some, then turn it back up and that should do it.

Lawn Mower Help Please?

Sammiches

I have a 6.75hp Push mower That I recently bought to replace a 4hp, nothings wrong with the old one, just thought I might need a replacement, so I went out to try my new mower, works great, a beast, but when I went on vacation for about 3 months, when I came back the grass was about 5-6 inches tall, so I pulled out the mower, I mowed about a 3 feet line and the mower stopped, now, I'm thinking it might be too much and the mower is choking, but my 4hp took the whole lawn without stopping once, they're both briggs, please help

Answer
Adjust the height of your wheels to the highest level, cut, then lower wheels and cut again .

If you can't lower your wheels, then only cut half of a path. just using the edge of the mower or push and pull back all the way up a path of grass

Sounds like you're cutting too much off, also make sure your choke is closed after about 30 seconds or so
