how to change oil in sears garden lawn mower?

Daniel F

Answer
At the very base of the mower is a plug with a square end. Run the engine for five minutes to get the engine and oil hot. Best to ware gloves so you do not burn your hand on hot oil. Undo the base plug and allow the oil to drain fully out the old oil. Replace the plug and refil with 20 oz of fresh 10-30 oil to the correct level.

my lawn is a fairly small lawn, but the grass tends to grow a few inches tall...

Answer
I really can't tell from the links. It more depends on how big your yard is, and do you really need to bag the grass. If you have a large lawn, you will want a wider mower and at least a 5 horsepower engine, 6 horsepower if you are bagging.
On a small lawn, a 3.5 horsepower mower will work, 5 horsepower if you are bagging.
