best lawn mower to start a business image
Bobby
i just tore down my lawn mower motor(tucmeseh) and i put it back together and now it kicks back when i try to pull the pull start. if i take the spark plug out it does not kick back so im confused.any help would be appreciated
could it possibly be that i put the camshaft/crankshaft gear in the wrong spot?? because i re did the coil gap and that didnt do anything and it never did that before i tore it down
Answer
Could be the coil to flywheel is set improperly throwing the timing off. I believe most are 0.010 (thickness of a business card)
If the timing is too early - it will fire too much before TDC, (top dead center) and kick back.
Also check the the flywheel to crankshaft key. if you installed the original one and it had a slight crease in it and you installed it upside down from original - that would throw the timing off.

How early can landscapers start?
tigerlilly
We have landscapers that start mowing the lawn in the business park across the street at 6:45 am twice a week. I want to shove his lawn mower up his ass! I am not a morning person!
Answer
In the summer time we have crews that start work at 6 am so they can get their work done and beat the afternoon heat. In the winter when we plow snow we're out by 1 am to get streets, parking lots, and sidewalks cleared for when most people come to work in the morning. This is all on a college campus so there's less chance of disturbing sleeping neighbors. You might check with your local government to see if they have a specific ordinance that covers this. Or you could actually talk to the landscapers. They may be understanding.
