Ride on lawn mower electric start won't work?

The battery is charged and everything is in place. But it was in the rain with no hood. The motor is not fully seized it does churn for about a second or two but then stops. Which leads me to think there is possibly a problem with the spark plug. Any advice from some mechanics out there? Please help. Thanks. Thank you? Thanks!

Check to see if the battery is "fully" charged. If there is a "pull" start, try that. How "old" is the battery??

a starter. try one that is used in atvs, lawn mowers, jet skis, etc.
