I'm 16 and I live in Spring Hill, Fl. I want to have a good-going job by the end of 2013. My mom put me in a tight situation where I'm not allowed to return to school anymore (Long Story). So, I have completed school up to 7th grade and I've completed half of 8th grade as well (I've failed a couple of times). With that being said, My question is: What jobs are hiring in my area that DO NOT require a diploma from High School? I really did not plan to be thrown out of school, I do know that jobs are limited if you don't have a diploma. If anybody can help, thanks.

There's not much out their for people who don't have HS Diploma. (Especially with the economy) Not even McDonald's would hire someone without a HS Diploma or GED at least. I was thinking of dropping out because my girlfriend makes tons of money. I was thinking I could do more volunteer work and sleep in, shopping and relaxing. But people were telling me IF my girlfriend left me I would be broke not being able to even get a cheap job. ): I also dint want to be known as a HS dropout, and I will be sooo proud when I graduate. Even with HS Diplomas you get "Cheap Jobs" but a cheap job is better then no job. I HATE homework but it will be over in 2 years. (I'm 16) it will be over. In this time era its REALLY important to have a HS diploma because in this job market today, there are MANY people looking for jobs WITH a HS diploma, so why hire someone who does not even have that? Competition is fierce. I recommend going back to get you GED you would have MUCH better of a chance to find a job, even with that its hard though. I don't know your circumstances, and I will give you some jobs that don't need a HS Diploma or GED. Some jobs are:
Own your own business: You can make a lot of money or decent living but its risky especially with today's economy. Many small business are failing but there is still a chance you could succeed! You do need some money to jump start your business with and banks are being stingy with loans these days, but if you had a savings you could use that.
Lawn care services: You could cut peoples grass all day and even though its VERY physical work, if you had enough clients you could make anywhere from $120-160 (Charging $15-20 a lawn) in a day if you mowed 8 lawns. Your body will most likely feel beat by the end of the day and it depends on the weather also. Its also not really a life-time career you can have for your life time by the time your in your 30's or 40's you won't be able to keep doing it. (Unless you had a riding lawn mower) But then you could invest your savings into a small business. :D If you get snow in your state you could have a shoveling business and make good money from that but it might not be a study income if you don't get snow but once a week. Then in the fall you could do raking and make some good money. It really depends if people will hire you, nowadays people just do it themselves to save money but you never know, you might be in the right area!
Celebrity: (VERY RARE) Its VERY, VERY, VERY rare to make money from being a singer, movie star or model. Jay Z did it and same with Britney Spears they don't have a HS Diploma or GED and their VERY RICH. Its ether you make a ton of money or none there is no middle road but if you have a lot of talent and I mean a lot (Even then its hard) you might be able to do it.
Pizza delivery person: You need to use your own car most of the time and need a good sense of direction. It can be very stressful and need a good driving record and some customers are really rude to you. It can be a lot of wear and tear on your car and some people don't tip.
Waiter/waitress: Depending on your state you can make a decent living doing this. Some states don't have a min wage for waiters/waitress and they only make $3 an hour other states have min wages were you make around $7. You need to be fast and remember the order well and depending were you work, you can make great tips. You never know, but you run into a lot of people that don't tip and a lot of times people are very demanding. You could also go for being a bus boy/girl, you won't make as much money because you won't be able to collect tips and you have to deal with filthy dish's/tables sometimes. You won't do as good as being a waiter/waitress because you won't collect tips but its still a little bit easier then being a waiter/waitress.
Remember you can always go back and get your GED and then get up to a 2 year education or less. You would make better money then and if you did this for some years and get your own place maybe could do it. Its work for some years but then you have your whole life ahead of you, its truly worth it!

I'm 15. ok so my neighborhood has a neighborhood pool that is open in the summer. It costs money, I believe $500 per household. So for the past 6 years we (my family) have joined the swimclub, but this year we aren't. We are going to the friggin NAC, this big athletic and swim club. But the pools are INDOOR. I don't want to spend my summer INDOORS!!! I want to be outside, where i can hear lawn mowers in the distance in a nice, not disruptive way, and feel the nice summer breeze... I love my neighborhood swim club a lot. I really do. There is a nice old farmhouse right next to it, the bathrooms are located in it, and a nice old barn, and I can see the woods and they are pretty in the sunset and everything at the swim club is pretty in the sunset and throughout the day. plus the lifegaurds are almost all guys and legit I've never seen an ugly lifegaurd there, only hotties ;)
This is the last summer I have in this neighborhood, we are moving I think after the 2013 2014 school year. Still same town, but I won't be able to join good old Raintree Swim Club :( </3
I'm pissed at my parents. My last summer in my childhood neighborhood and they decide to go to friggin NAC. really an indoor pool? I hate that, it's summer we need to be outside.
so I am trying to figure out a way for me to still get a membership at Raintree. My parents can't just pay a smaller amount of money for me to just go, they would have to pay $500 bc its per house. Do you think I could ask another family to join with them and pay them some money for a membership? bc either way they pay $500, even with me added on.... so can you help me figure out a way to get to my swim club? :( Please, I really need help, because I love that swim club and its my last real summer in my neighborhood :( :( :( </3
